Darcie Haven
Darcie Haven
Bio:
Amassing a cult like following and critical acclaim, Darcie Haven is redefining the boundaries of diaristic songwriting in Australia. Raised on a farm in a remote corner of WA, she learned to sing and play guitar from Missy Higgins CDs and Taylor Swift songbooks. Blending unfiltered, raw songwriting with gritty indie-pop production, her lyrics leave you thinking you’ve overheard something you shouldn’t. Since her debut in 2022, Darcie has supported the likes of Vance Joy, DMAs, Birds of Tokyo and San Cisco, with ‘Fallen For’ from her debut EP reaching number 8 on the triple j Most Played charts. More importantly, the personal connection Darcie is building with her listeners is something to be admired. More like friends than fans, the community of predominantly young women banding around her music is turning heads across the country. Earning comparisons to Gracie Abrams, Holly Humberstone and Phoebe Bridgers, Haven says “I try to write as honestly as possible, not glaze over any sharp edges or cracks. I want to make music that feels like it’s been stolen straight from my journal, you know?”
